An award-winning snowboarder, environmentalist, entrepreneur, and author, Jeremy Jones is widely regarded among the most accomplished action sports athletes of all time. In 2007, Jeremy founded Protect Our Winters, a global cause uniting the winter sports community against climate change, before founding Jones Snowboards the following year. In addition, Jeremy recently authored The Art of Shralpinism: Lessons From the Mountains, an insightful book that shares his journey and personal approach to mountains, snow, and adventure.

The demand for critical metals is outstripping supply and with geo-political pressures on sourcing of key metals for the energy transition, N. America needs to develop its own sourcing. This panel will discuss the scale of the shortfall, which metals are most at risk and technologies and business models for expanding the supply – both from existing and new mines and the development of “urban mines”.
